RSS plays communal card, says evict all Bangladeshis

The Sangh Parivar on Monday called for the eviction of Bangladeshi migrants from all over the country. Coming together under the aegis of the newly-floated Save Assam Forum of Karnataka, senior leaders of the RSS and the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) projected themselves as the sole protectors of the interests of the people of the Northeast.
At a rally organised by the RSS and ABVP with the support of the BJP government in Bangalore, chief RSS provocateur Prabhakar Bhat Kalladka alleged that the population of Muslims in India was increasing because of Bangladeshi immigrants.
“Muslims are increasing their population by different means — by not adhering to family planning norms, through measures like love jihad and through illegal immigrants from Bangladesh,’’ said Kalladka, known for making provocative speeches in Mangalore. “The majority of Muslims have Pakistan on their mind. If Hindu society continues to sleep it may not be possible to protect them. That is why we need to think. All illegal immigrants from Bangladesh need to be thrown out. All people of the Northeast who left cities in India must be brought back because it is their country.’’
“This is a period of crisis for our country. Conversions are taking place. There is terrorism. Different foreign forces are coming. There are foreign companies setting up businesses. We have to arise amid all this. A lot of attacks are taking place on women. They have fallen prey to consumerism,’’ he said.
“There are four crore illegal Bangladeshi immigrants in India. The Supreme Court says send 50,000 persons per year. This is some wrong calculation. It will take hundreds of years. Send back 50 lakh or one crore illegal persons per year. This country is not for outsiders. People can come and be a part of the country but not its enemy,’’ he said.
The RSS leader claimed that only the Sangh was concerned about the welfare of the people of Assam, not parties like JD(S) or Congress.
Jugantu Das, a student from Assam who is a part of the RSS unit in Bangalore, said: “Identify Bangladeshis and hound them out. They are a virus. Let them receive the same treatment that people of the Northeast have been subjected to.”
