Resources -- From the Editor’s Desk The results of Bihar Assembly elections have come as a big relief as the growing intimidation and the sense of insecurity came down a bit after the communal combine had to bite the dust. The heated debate on the issue of intolerance will continue as the communal ideology is bent to present that all is hunky dory as far as liberal space is concerned. Many a valuable initiatives have surfaced to add to the existing one's countering the sectarian ideology and politics. The launch of portal www.sabrangindia.com is the most heartening move as this in a way is the continuation of the print magazine Communalism Combat, which had ceased publication due to the financial constraints. Teesta Setalvad and Javed Anand deserve kudos for their persistent battle against the 'politics of Hate'. Modi Sarakr has been creating all possible obstacles to tie them and to implicate them. Thanks to the courage of the duo they have not only been weathering the storm but have also taken the plunge to start the bilingual (English+Hindi) web site supplemented by the Sabrang Alert which is compilation of important articles carried by the portal. We congratulate them and wish them all the very best in their valuable endeavor. Faisal Khan has been one of the young friends who has taken the work of communal harmony to the grass root levels. His Khudai Khidmatgar is expanding well and is breaking new grounds and reaching more youth by the day. We salute Faisal Khan for his dedicated work. Yugal Kishore Sharan Shastri has been the voice of sanity in Ayodhya, where BJP-VHP is creating vicious atmosphere in the name of Ram Temple. He took out Chishti Sadbhavna Yatra to spread the message of peace, we carry the report of the felicitation of Shastriji by Delhi based groups ANHAD.
