SC protects Teesta Setalvad from arrest till Dec 8

NEW DELHI: A three-judge Supreme Court bench headed by Justice A R Save on Wednesday restrained Gujarat Police from arresting social activist Teesta Setalvad and her husband till December 8.

The SC also issued notice to Teesta and her husband on CBI's plea seeking cancellation of their bail granted by the Bombay HC in another case of violation of Foreign Contribution Regulation Act.

The apex court granted Teesta and her husband four weeks time to file reply and posted the case for hearing on December 1.
