Talking to TOI, KK Sundaram, a BJP leader in Ayodhya said the celebrations were being performed every year.
FAIZABAD: Regardless of the ban on all rituals, besides those performed by the priest nominated by the Supreme Court at the Babri Masjid/Ram Janmabhumi premises in Ayodhya, a group of RSS and VHP activists has sought permission from the administration to perform puja at the disputed site on the occasion of the 65th 'Ram Prakat Utsav'. It was 65 years ago that idols were installed here by some Sadhus of Ayodhya.

The group has approached Faizabad divisional commissioner Sanjay Prasad seeking permission to perform the rituals.

Talking to TOI, KK Sundaram, a BJP leader in Ayodhya said the celebrations were being performed every year. The committee has started the celebrations which will continue till January 4 with grand functions and processions. The Supreme Court through its various orders has restrained any type of religious activities in the disputed site.
