On the 8th of October, women's organizations like Akshara, Awaaz-e-Niswan, Women's Centre and others of Mumbai, are organizing a Silent Rally to mark the protest of civil society organizations against the continuing attack against Christians, especially in Orissa, but now in other states as well.
The Rally will start at 3.30 pm from the Churchgate Station on the Maharishi Karve Rd side and go up Veernariman Road to Hutatma Chowk and then via DN Road to Azad Maidan.
At the maidan, there will be a public meeting with several speakers. Students of the Nirmala Niketan and of TISS and some of the faculty are expected to join the rally and the public meeting
