Dear friend,
We need your support in fighting for justice in the Rohith
Vemula case. To sign a new petition to the Chief minister of Telangana, click here.
Rohith Vemula, a brilliant and emerging Dalit doctoral scholar at the University of Hyderabad committed suicide on Jan 17th 2016
after being consistently targeted by the University administration,
especially the Vice Chancellor Appa Rao Podile and the Hindu right wing
federal government. Since that day students and faculty who have raised
their voices in protest have been brutally attacked while the VC and
other perpetrators of the crimes of caste atrocities and targeted
violence have gotten away free. Most recently, the two key faculty
leaders if the struggle -- Profs. Rathnam and Tathagatha were suspended
by VC. The petition enclosed seeks to mount pressure on the State
Government of Telangana to take action against the VC and the police.
PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION BY CLICKING THE LINK BELOW.
ALSO FORWARD THIS PETITION TO OTHER CONCERNED FRIENDS WHO WILL LEND THEIR VOICE AGAINST ANTI DALIT ATROCITIES.
[Petition Deadline: Monday the 20th, 11 pm CST.]
Sincerely,
India Civil Watch
