PRESENTING THE TRUTH: TESTIMONIES REVEALING THE TRUTH OF THE COLD­BLOODED MASSACRE OF 20 MEN BY THE SPECIAL TASK FORCE IN CHITTOOR, ANDHRA PRADESH ON 7TH APRIL 2015.

On 7th April 2015 a joint operation carried out by a Special Task Force (STF), comprising of police officials and forest officials, resulted in the death of 20 men, in the Seshachalam forest area on the outskirts of Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh.
The Andhra Pradesh government has claimed that these 20 men engaged in smuggling of red sanders wood attacked the STF with stones, sickles and axes and that the subsequent encounter was done in self­ defence.
Media reports and photographs raise several questions challenging the genuineness of the ‘encounter’.
The Press Conference will present facts that expose the brazen impunity with which these killings have been committed, and contest the State’s theory of encounter in self defence.
