Two cops who probed Ishrat, Sohrab cases shunted

AHMEDABAD: Two IPS officers Rajnish Rai and Satish Verma, who probed the Sohrabuddin Shaikh and Ishrat Jahan fake encounter cases, respectively, have been shunted out of the state. Both are being sent on central deputation — Rai (a 1992-batch IPS officer), as chief vigilance officer (CVO) at Uranium Corporation of India Ltd (UCIL) at Jaduguda in Jharkhand, and Verma (a 1986-batch IPS officer) has been appointed as CVO of North Eastern Power Corporation Ltd (NEEPCO) in Shilong, Meghalaya.
