Former Narendra Modi aide Parindu Bhagat to become BJP treasurer

GANDHINAGAR: BJP president Amit Shah is likely to pick Parindu Bhagat, a key aide of Narendra Modi when he was Gujarat chief minister, for the post of party treasurer. However, Bhagat is expected to make it to Shah's national team for entirely different reasons than the choice of his Gujarat BJP colleague Purusottam Rupala as a vice president, local leaders familiar with the matter said.
