Dear Sir,
I have seen a banner hosited at electric pillar in support of BJP party in which following slogan is written in Hindi :
“WO KAHTE HAIN KI DESH KE SANSADHANO PAR PEHLA HAQ
ALPSANKHYAKO KA,
MODI KAHTE HAIN PAHALA ADHIKAR DESH KE KISANO KA”
Meaning :
“They say that that the minorities have the first claim on the natural resources of the country,
Modi says that it is the farmers of the country whose claim is first”
The above slogan is clearly divisive and intends to cause hatred and ill-will against the minorities. It is an appeal on communal lines to secure votes.
The above banner was seen by me on an electric pillar in front of Khaitan Public school, Rajinder Nagar, Sahibabad, Ghaziabad. It has photos of Atal Bihari Bajpayee, Rajnath Singh, Narendra Modi, and V.K.Singh, the BJP candidate for Ghaziabad constituency.
Some photos of the said banner are attached.
It is clearly in violation of the model code of conduct.
You are requested to take appropriate action against the Bhartiya Janta Party.
