FIR against Ajaz Khan for calling Modi 'chor' in Bigg Boss
Mail Today Bureau Mumbai, December 29, 2013 | UPDATED 13:43 IST

Bigg Boss 7 has once again courted controversy. After Armaan Kohli, another contestant of the show has landed in legal trouble. A police complaint has been filed against Ajaz Khan for reportedly calling BJP's prime ministerial Narendra Modi a chor ( thief) .

Trouble arose after a video which was posted on YouTube went viral on other social networking sites showing contestant Ajaz calling Modi a chor. While the video was recorded at least two weeks ago, the channel decided to cut out what Khan had said and didn't broadcast it. However, a small clip, where Khan is seen talking about Modi, has curiously landed on YouTube.

On Thursday night as soon as BJP cadres from Lonavla came to know about the clip, they tried to barge into the Lonavla bungalow where the contestants of Big Boss are housed. They were, however, prevented by police personnel from doing so.

In Mumbai, angry cadres of Mumbai's BJP youth wing then approached the Samata Nagar police in Kandivli and lodged a police complaint against Colors channel and Ajaz Khan.

BJP's city unit chief Ganesh Pande said they had filed a defamation complaint against Ajaz.

" How can you use such thuggish language? He ( Modi) is the CM of a state and the PM candidate. How can you abuse him like that without any proof?" Pande said. He added that they suspected that it was a ' cheap stunt' to raise the TRPs of the channel.

Samata Nagar police officials said they have transferred the complaint to Lonavla police station.
