The chief of Rajasthan's Anti-Terrorism Squad, Kapil Garg, has confirmed that the right wing Hindu group Abhinav Bharat may be linked with the 2007 Ajmer blast. The group is already under the ATS scanner for its alleged involvement in the Malegaon blast in 2008. The ATS chief speaking to NDTV, said that the ATS has sought details of Colonel Purohit and other accused in the Malegaon blast. Purohit, an alleged mastermind of the Abhinav Bharat group had told investigators during narco-analysis and brain mapping tests that another member Dayanand Pandey, also an accused in the Malegaon blast, had planned the Ajmer incident. The Ajmer Sharif Dargah in Rajasthan, one of the holiest places in India, was rocked by a terrorist attack on October 11, 2007.The blast took place at Ahata-e-Noor, close to where prayers are offered in the Dargah, at about the time of Iftar.
