Hindu Sena to hold Datta Jayanti on December 4

Staff Correspondent

Bidar: Rashtriya Hindu Sena will organise Datta Jayanti celebrations at Bababudangiri on December 4. RHS president Pramod Mutalik told presspersons in Bidar on Friday that Datta Jyoti would be brought from Ganagapur in Gulbarga district to Bababudangiri before the celebrations.

A Statewide yatra would be organised for the purpose, he said. He accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of politicising the issue.

The party that swore by Hindutva had moved away from it for political reasons. It was trying stage a drama in Bababudangiri by trying to organise rallies like "Sandesh Yatre".

It should stop interfering in Bababudangiri and allow the pro-Hindu organisations to hold celebrations there, he said.

Clemency

RHS would organise a Statewide agitation against granting of clemency to Mohammad Afzal, who had been sentenced to death in the Parliament attack case. RHS would field Prem Kumar as its candidate in byelections from the Chamundeshwari Assembly Constituency.
