As
the Sangh Parivar, aided by a shamelessly one-sided govt that is
ignoring its responsibility towards all faiths in India, rams its notion
of nationalism down our throats; and as the same govt that is
destroying countless places of worship (including Hindu temples and
adivasi sacred landscapes and shrines) in the name of development (coal
mining in some of India's richest forests, with vulnerable
adivasi communities for whom the forests are sacred; drowning out Shiva
and other temples in Narmada, and much more); and on the occasion of
International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples; I recall an article
