Dear Sir/ Ma’am,

We are organizing a 'People’s Tribunal on Delhi Carnage' on the 16th of March, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM at Deputy Speaker Hall, Constitution Club of India, Rafi Marg, New Delhi -110001. This tribunal will bring together, victims from the worst affected areas in the recent North East Delhi riots and some prominent civil society organisations & activists that have been working on ground zero, to narrate the horrors of what transpired during and after the riots as well as positive stores of those who lived in harmony. This becomes extremely necessary after the contradicting statements coming from the Home Minister to change the narrative of North-East Delhi riots. Along with the testimonies, the following issues will also be presented:

* Anatomy of Riots;

* Trauma, Fear & Mistrust;

* Role of Police and State – Control and Prevention of Violence;

* Rescue, Relief and Rehabilitation;

* Role of Health Systems in Responding to Riots;

* Legal Challenges;

* Human Costs of the Carnage

* Role of the Media.

The jury for this tribunal will consist of Justice AP Shah (retd), Justice Aftab Alam (retd), Prof Apoorvanand, Harsh Mander, Pamela Philipose, Dr Syeda Hameed, Prof Tanika Sarkar and is being organised by Anhad in collaboration with Aman Biradari, Amnesty International India , Muslim Women's Forum and United Forum Christain.
